Perseverance...
...is something I definitely have to work on in my life.
I cannot tell you how many times I have started something and then just gave up or lost interest.
I am sure a lot of people recognize this. You decide to go running, buy shoes, an outfit, the right music on your ipod. First run is hard but great, next time you wanna go it rains - damn, the time after you have a better thing to do, and in the end your running pants never leave the sofa again. Sounds familiar, right?
It is always the same story, like yesterday - I was running (yes running again), through my closet, trying things on, getting more depressed with every not-fitting dress, and decided: Enough is enough!
So I was already looking up weightwatcher programs, recipes, and work out programs.
Then I went to sleep, got up, ate 2 croissants at work, at noon hamburger and fries and tonight pasta with cream. As you can read - a very good day to start the masterplan for getting back into my dresses!
Oh well, after the holidays I will definitely start again...
with running, swimming, losing kilo's and 20 other things.
By the way, today was my second run, hope I didn't jinx it with this post.

DO. On the Greens
This weekend hubbie and I mixed business with pleasure, and headed to Germany to go golfing! (well, it was our work that organised a golf tournament)
Lolo competed, I did not, -why will be obvious from the picture below where you can see my golf pose. My man can hit the ball so far, while I am already happy if I don't poke someone's eye out with the stick!
The drive over there was very interesting, as the GPS lead us through some tiny villages next to the river, in the middle of nowhere in Germany, instead of staying on the highway. So it felt like a little vacation.
We had a fun weekend!
I do look like a pro, if I may say so myself!

Happy Father's Day!
Petti made her daddy's day extra special by taking his breakfast order this morning in bed. We had a nice family breakfast and the girl made some nice drawings for her daddy!

EAT. Asparagus
Did you know that Asparagus is super healthy, in season & very yummie?
Here is how we ate it the other day:
White bread (without crust)
Horse radish spread (from the store or fresh)
Smoked Salmon
Brie
Pepper & Salt
Make it into a nice little baggie!
We served it with a Asparagus soup with a poached egg in the middle to get that velvet effect even more .

HOME. New at the house/Olivia's Crib
Not a baby crib, but a 'crib', a hangout!
As much as we love our girl, we don't want our living space to look like a kindergarten all the time.
I saw this cardboard house at a friend's place, and I thought that would be a fitting solution to store all her toys after she has gone to bed and transform our living area into an adult space again.
Also she can play in it, the little house has lots of windows and when she gets a little older, she can paint it as she likes. A fun, cheap & practical solution.
